Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle)Expedia Inc. said it’s teaming with Citigroup Inc. to create a branded credit card using the Bellevue online travel agency’s name.
The Citi PremierPass/Expedia.com card will give users points for travel booked on Expedia and points for miles on airlines. It’s an expansion of the two companies’ ThankYou Rewards Network introduced last year.
“We heard from our customers that they want a way to earn points for all of their travel and across travel brands,” said Paul Brown, president of Expedia (NASDAQ: EXPE), in a statement.
Citigroup (NYSE: C) is based in New York.
