Predicts Shipments Will Double in 2008
ROGERS, MN (Feb. 20, 2008) Archway Marketing Services, Inc., says it surpassed its gift card forecast and shipped 220 million cards in 2007, 16 million more than it had forecast. The company said it nearly doubled 2006 gift card distribution numbers, shipping cards to over 50 different retail clients.
Mike Moroz, president of Archway Marketing Services, said, “Gift cards have become a year-long gift item, we anticipate gift card usage will continue to grow with the increased acceptance of the financial gift cards.”
Rogers, Minnesota based Archway predicts gift card shipments will continue to grow and is preparing to ship nearly 350 million gift cards in 2008. Archway said its growth outstripped the industry average. Financial services research company, TowerGroup, estimates that the gift card sales industry generated a total of $97 billion in 2007, up from $83 billion in 2006.
Archway also distributes financial cards in addition to brand specific loaded and non-loaded cards for retailers and restaurants, and has been approved by VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Archway provides a range of services including, procurement, fulfillment, and inventory management, in addition to serial number tracking, forecasting, automatic replenishment and online reporting for gift, prepaid and financial card programs.
